Messaging and Discussions

Govenda includes threaded messaging and discussions within meetings, workrooms, and other collaborative spaces.

How to send a message

1. Navigate to the meeting, workroom, or section where you want to post.
2. Open the Discussion or Messaging tab.
3. Type your message in the text field.
4. Click Send.

How to start a new discussion thread

Look for the option to create a new thread within a discussion space. Enter a subject line and your initial message, then submit.

"There was a problem with sending your message"

Check your internet connection and try again. If you're on the mobile app offline, messaging is not available — connect to the internet first.

"Failed to create new thread"

Make sure you have access to the space where you're trying to create the thread. If the error continues, contact your administrator to verify your permissions.

Messaging is not available offline

Discussions and messaging require an internet connection on both the web and mobile platforms. If you're offline on the mobile app, you'll need to connect to the internet before you can read or send messages.
