If you're having trouble saving or customizing your dashboard, find the issue below.
"Error in saving dashboard"
This message can be caused by several things:
- Widgets are overlapping: Drag your widgets so that none are positioned on top of each other. Even a small overlap can prevent saving.
- A widget extends outside the grid: Resize or reposition the widget so it fits entirely within the dashboard grid boundaries.
- Too many of one widget type: Some widget types have a maximum count (e.g., you may only be able to have one of a specific widget). Try removing a duplicate.
- Invalid widget configuration: A widget's internal settings may be invalid. Try removing the problematic widget, saving the dashboard, then adding it back.
- You don't own this dashboard: You can only edit dashboards assigned to you.
Dashboard looks wrong or broken
Try resetting your dashboard to the default layout. Look for a "Reset Dashboard" or "Restore Default" option in the dashboard settings. After resetting, you can re-customize from the default starting point.
Permission issues
Only administrators (Admin, Super, or committee admin roles) can customize dashboards. You can only modify dashboards that belong to you. Standard users may see a pre-configured dashboard that they cannot modify.
