If you're having trouble with meeting agenda items — including indent/outdent, saving, or attaching files — find the issue below.
Indent or outdent isn't working (nothing happens)
Indenting agenda items
Agenda items can be nested up to 4 levels deep. If you try to indent an item beyond that limit, nothing will change and you won’t see an error message.
If indenting isn’t working, you may have reached the maximum nesting depth. Try reorganizing your agenda so it uses fewer levels.
Outdenting agenda items
To outdent items, you must select all sub-items at the same level in the agenda. If only some sibling items are selected, the outdent action may not work.
Before outdenting, make sure you’ve selected every item at that same level.
"Error saving new agenda item" / "Error editing agenda item"
This generic error message can be caused by several things:
- Insufficient permissions: You don't have administrator or committee admin permissions for this meeting. Contact your administrator.
- Maximum depth exceeded: Adding the item would exceed the 4-level nesting limit.
- Server error: A temporary issue occurred. Refresh the page and try again.
"Error indenting agenda items" / "Error outdenting agenda items"
Usually caused by a permission issue or depth constraint. Verify you have administrator or committee admin permissions for this meeting, and that the operation wouldn't exceed the 4-level depth limit.
"Error change agenda item location"
You tried to move an agenda item but the move failed. This is typically a permission or structural constraint. Refresh the page and try again.
"File is currently being edited"
The document attached to this agenda item is locked because someone has it open in Office Online. The lock lasts up to 30 minutes. Wait for it to release, then try again.
File upload failed on an agenda item
Only supported file formats can be attached (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images). If your file is rejected, check the format. Files must also be under 1 GB. See [File Upload Errors] for more details.
