If Gabii encounters a problem joining or recording your meeting, you'll see an error message explaining what happened. Find your error below for the solution.
"No Passcode"
The meeting requires a passcode to join, but no passcode was provided in the Gabii settings. Open the Gabii invitation settings for this meeting and enter the correct meeting passcode before the meeting starts.
"Invalid Passcode"
The passcode provided in Gabii's settings is incorrect. Double-check the meeting passcode with the meeting organizer and update it in the Gabii settings.
"Not Invited"
Gabii's account was denied access to the meeting by the video conference platform. Check your video conference provider's settings to make sure Gabii is allowed to join. Some platforms require external participants to be explicitly allowed.
"Timed Out"
Gabii waited in the meeting's waiting room for 15 minutes and was never admitted. When the meeting starts, look for Gabii in the waiting room and admit it right away. Alternatively, configure your meeting to not use a waiting room, or pre-approve Gabii.
"Not Admitted"
The meeting ended before anyone admitted Gabii from the waiting room, or the meeting didn't start within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. Make sure someone is ready to admit Gabii from the waiting room as soon as the meeting begins.
"Kicked"
Gabii was removed from the meeting by a participant (accidentally or intentionally). If this was accidental, you'll need to create a new recording invitation. Gabii cannot rejoin a meeting after being removed.
"Recording Failed"
A technical error occurred during recording or processing. Try creating a new recording. If this keeps happening, contact Govenda Support at .
"Overlap"
Gabii is already actively joining or recording this same meeting. Wait for the current recording to complete, or cancel it before starting a new one. Only one Gabii recording can run per meeting at a time.
"Invalid URL"
The meeting link provided is not a recognized video conference URL. Use a direct meeting link starting with https:// — for example, https://zoom.us/j/123456789 or https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/.... Shortened URLs (like bit.ly links) and redirect URLs may not work.
"Gabii AI feature is needed"
Your organization's Govenda subscription does not include the Gabii AI feature. Contact your administrator to discuss upgrading your subscription plan.
"Gabii AI is disabled"
The Gabii AI feature is available in your subscription but has been turned off in your organization's settings. Contact your administrator to enable Gabii AI in the company settings.
Tips for successful recordings
- Admit Gabii from the waiting room immediately when it appears — it will timeout and give up after 15 minutes of waiting.
- Provide the correct meeting passcode in the Gabii invitation settings before the meeting starts, not during.
- Use a direct meeting URL — full URLs from your video conference provider work best. Avoid shortened links.
- Don't remove Gabii from the meeting during recording unless you intentionally want to stop the recording.
- Only one recording per meeting — if you need to restart, cancel the current recording first.
- Check your video conference settings to make sure external guests (like Gabii) are allowed to join.
