If your Microsoft or Google integration shows as connected but meetings, surveys, eSignature, or vote events aren't appearing in your external calendar, work through this troubleshooting guide.
Step-by-step troubleshooting
1. Check your integration status
Go to Settings > Integrations and look for any disconnection warnings or error messages. If your integration has been disconnected, reconnect by signing in again. See [Setting Up Microsoft Calendar Integration] or [Setting Up Google Calendar Integration] for instructions.
2. Verify the correct calendar is selected
Check your integration settings to confirm the right calendar is chosen. If you have multiple calendars in Outlook or Google Calendar, Govenda may be syncing to one you don't regularly check.
3. Check if you recently disconnected and reconnected
If you recently disconnected your integration and reconnected, old internal records from your previous connection can prevent new events from syncing. This is a known issue — see below.
4. Check if the synced calendar still exists
If you deleted or renamed the calendar that Govenda was syncing to, new events can't be created. Go to your integration settings and re-select your calendar.
5. Wait for the sync cycle
Calendar sync runs on a schedule, not instantly. After making changes or reconnecting, allow 15–30 minutes for events to appear.
Known issue — events missing after disconnect/reconnect
When you disconnect your Microsoft integration and later reconnect, leftover data from your old connection can prevent new events from syncing. This affects meeting events, survey events, voting events, and eSignature events.
What to do: Contact Govenda Support at support@govenda.com and request a calendar resync. Provide your email address, company name, approximately when you disconnected and reconnected, and what types of events are missing.
The support team will clear the old records and rebuild your calendar events.
Calendar sync errors don't display a notification
Calendar sync errors are recorded in server logs but do not produce a visible alert within the Govenda interface. This means you may not know syncing has failed. If everything in your settings looks correct but events still aren't appearing after 30 minutes, contact Govenda Support for a server-side investigation.
