Connect your Google account to Govenda to sync meetings and events to your Google Calendar and file notification emails into a Gmail label.
How to set up the integration
- In Govenda, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Click Sign in with Google.
- You'll be redirected to a Google sign-in page. Sign in with the Google account you want to connect.
- Review and grant the requested permissions (calendar, mail, tasks, and profile access).
- Configure your preferred calendar.
- Click Save.
Calendar Configuration Options
By default, "Default Govenda Calendar" will be selected. This creates a separate Govenda calendar or folder where Govenda events and notifications will go.
To have Govenda events on your main calendar, or a specific calendar, select Distinct Calendar. Then choose an existing calendar. Generally "Calendar" will be your main default calendar.
"Error occurred redirecting to Google"
- Check your internet connection.
- Clear your browser cache and try again.
- Make sure pop-ups are allowed for Govenda in your browser settings.
- Try a different browser.
"Your integration with [email] has been disconnected due to a change in your account"
Your Google authorization became invalid. This typically happens when:
- You changed your Google password
- You made a security change to your Google account
- Google revoked the app's access (this can happen automatically in some enterprise Google Workspace configurations)
How to reconnect: Go to Settings > Integrations, click Google, and sign in again.
"Integration Conflict"
What this means: Another Govenda user already has the same Google account connected.
How to resolve:
- You will be asked to either Undo integration or Continue with this account.
Undo Integration: Choose this option if you do not want to connect the Google account to the Govenda user you are currently signed in as.
The Google integration will be removed from your current Govenda user account. The Govenda user account that was already connected to this Google account will stay connected.
Continue with this account: Choose this option if you want to connect the Google account to the Govenda user you are currently signed in as.
The Google integration will move to your current Govenda user account. The Govenda user account that was previously connected to this Google account will no longer be connected.
My Gmail label stopped working or emails aren't filing
Govenda creates a Gmail label (default name: "Govenda") to organize notification emails. If you delete or rename this label, Govenda won't be able to file emails into it.
How to fix: Go to Settings > Integrations and re-select or create a new Gmail label for Govenda notifications.
Google Calendar events not appearing
- Verify your integration is still connected (check for disconnection warnings in Settings > Integrations).
- Make sure the correct calendar is selected in your integration settings.
- If you recently reconnected, wait 15–30 minutes for the sync cycle to run.
- If events still don't appear, contact Govenda Support at support@govenda.com for a calendar resync.
