As an Admin, one of the first steps in Govenda is creating your users. When looking at your User Roster, which can be found under ‘Users’, there are two columns called Invited and Active; but what is the difference between these two?
Active User:
A User must be active to receive any type of communication from Govenda or for the user to communicate within Govenda. To ensure that a User is active look for "Yes/No" toggle in the Active User column to the right of their name.
When a user is no longer a member of your board, you can simply switch them to Not Active and they will no longer have access to Govenda.
Invited:
After you have created a new user and you are ready to activate them, you will need to Invite them. Inviting your users will send an email with an encrypted link. This link will take them to a first-time login page where they will be asked to change their password. Once that is complete, your users will have access to Govenda.
To summarize, a board member must be Invited and Notified to access and receive information from Govenda.
