Learn how to quickly create a copy of an existing meeting, saving time for recurring meetings with similar settings.
When to clone vs. create from scratch
Clone when you want to reuse the same committee, attendees, settings, and optionally the agenda from a previous meeting.
Create from scratch when you need a completely different setup.
Steps to clone a meeting
- Go to Meetings and find the meeting you want to clone (in Upcoming, Past, or the meeting details page).
- Click the Actions menu (three dots or ellipsis icon).
- Select Clone Meeting.
- In the Clone Meeting modal:
- Set the new meeting date.
- Optionally check Clone Agenda to copy all agenda items to the new meeting. Agenda documents are not carried over to the new cloned meeting.
- Click Clone.
What gets cloned
- Committee and group assignments
- Attendee list
- Meeting settings
- Agenda items (if "Clone Agenda" is checked)
What doesn't get cloned
- RSVP responses — attendees need to RSVP again
- Attendance records
- Minutes
- Recording and transcription data
- Board books
- Agenda documents
After cloning
The cloned meeting opens in edit mode. Review the details, update the date and time, make any needed changes, and then publish when ready.
