Learn what workrooms are, how to create them within a committee, and how to use their document, task, and discussion features.
What is a workroom?
A workroom is a dedicated collaborative workspace within a committee. It has its own document library, task list, and discussion area — separate from the committee's main meeting content. Workrooms are ideal for ongoing projects, working groups, or ad-hoc collaboration.
Creating a workroom
- Open a committee.
- Look for the Workrooms tab.
- Click New Workroom.
- Enter a name and optional description.
- You can optionally set a timeframe for content in the workroom to be purged and deleted.
- Save the workroom.
Using workroom documents
Each workroom has its own document area where you can upload and organize files. These are separate from the committee's main document library and meeting documents.
- Enter a name for the workroom item.
- Click Add Files to upload documents.
- Click Show Options to manage additional settings such as item permissions
- Click Save.
Using workroom tasks
Each workroom has its own task list where you can create tasks, assign them to members, set due dates, and track completion.
- Click the Tasks tab in the workroom.
- Enter a task title.
- Click Show Options to manage additional settings, task deadlines, assignees, and reminders.
- Click Save.
Using workroom discussions
Each workroom has a discussion area for threaded conversations in the member app. Members can create threads, reply to messages, and collaborate within the workroom context.
Accessing a workroom
Navigate to your committee in the member app, then select the workroom from the list. Members of the committee can access its workrooms.
