When signing an eSignature document in Govenda, members can either draw their signature or upload an image of their handwritten signature. Whether the upload option is available depends on how the eSignature was configured by the administrator.
How to Setup eSignature Fields to Capture Drawn or Uploaded Signatures
To allow members to upload a signature image or draw one:
- In the Admin app, create a new eSignature.
- Complete the document setup as usual:
- Enter a title.
- Upload the document.
- Add the required signer(s).
- Continue to the step where you add signature blocks and fields.
- Add a Signature block for the signer.
- Select the signature block to open its settings in the right-hand panel.
- Under Signature Type, select Capture Signature.
- Choose how members can provide their signature:
- Draw a signature: Leave From File turned Off.
- Upload a signature image or draw: Turn From File On.
- Save the eSignature and send it to your signer(s).
| Note: Enabling From File allows members to upload a PNG or JPEG image of their signature instead of drawing it. |
