Learn how to control how users are notified about new comments in meeting and workroom discussions. This guide is for administrators.
Where to configure
Discussion notification settings are found in Settings > Member-App Settings under the Messaging tab.
Notification options
You can enable and disable notifications on open discussions and configure notification frequency separately for administrators/super users and standard users:
For administrators:
- No discussion notifications
- Notification on every comment
- Notification on first comment only (per thread)
For standard users:
- No discussion notifications
- Notification on every comment
- Notification on first comment only (per thread)
Choosing the right setting
- Every comment — best for small, active groups where every message matters
- First comment only — best for larger groups to reduce notification noise
- No notifications — for organizations that prefer users to check discussions manually
Saving changes
Click Save to apply. Changes affect all users in the respective role category.
